Many religions say that God and the Universe will speak
to us if we just listen. Yet we often think that those who
do hear the voice of God are a little "touched".
I think the voice of the Universe is really our own inner
voice, and often that inner voice speaks to us as we respond
to a line in a song or a book - the song or the book has
spoken for us - brought our inner voice into our conscious
awareness. I try to pay special attention when words leap
out at me - because I know that it's really me speaking...BC

"This
is what I believe:
That I am I
That my soul is a dark forest.
That my known self will never be more than a little clearing
in the forest.
That gods, strange gods, come forth from the forest into
the clearing
of my known self, and then go back.
That I must have the courage to let them come and go.
That I will never let mankind put anything over me, but
that I will
try always to recognize and submit to the gods in me and
the gods
in other men and women.
There is my creed."

D.H. Lawrence

There
is a theory which states that if ever anybody discovers
exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it
will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even
more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which
states that this has already happened.

There is no better time than right now to be happy. Happiness
is a journey, not a destination. So work like you don't
need money, love like you've never been hurt,
and, dance like no one's watching.

A
man's ethical behavior should be based effectually on sympathy,
education, and social ties; no religious basis is necessary.
Man would indeed be in a poor way if he had to be restrained
by fear of punishment and hope of reward after death.
Albert Einstein (1879 - 1955)
Change
has a considerable psychological impact on the human mind.
To the fearful it is threatening because it means that things
may get worse. To the hopeful it is encouraging because
things may get better. To the confident it is inspiring
because the challenge exists to make things better.
King Whitney Jr.
Look
not mournfully into the past. It comes not back again. Wisely
improve the present. It is thine. Go forth to meet the shadowy
future, without fear.
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
The
truth that many people never understand, until it is too
late, is that the more you try to avoid suffering the more
you suffer because smaller and more insignificant things
begin to torture you in proportion to your fear of being
hurt.
Thomas Merton
Learn
the art of patience. Apply discipline to your thoughts when
they become anxious over the outcome of a goal. Impatience
breeds anxiety, fear, discouragement and failure. Patience
creates confidence, decisiveness, and a rational outlook,
which eventually leads to success.
Brian Adams
The
greatest mistake you can make in life is to be continually
fearing you will make one.
Elbert Hubbard (1856 - 1915)
What
I am actually saying is that we need to be willing to let
our intuition guide us, and then be willing to follow that
guidance directly and fearlessly.
Shakti Gawain
Our
doubts are traitors,
And make us lose the good we oft might win
By fearing to attempt.
William Shakespeare (1564 - 1616), "Measure for Measure",
Act 1 scene 4
If
we deny love that is given to us, if we refuse to give love
because we fear pain or loss, then our lives will be empty,
our loss greater.

Today
when the sun wakes up,
and the dew drops in,
and the breeze whistles it's song,
and the clouds dance on the wild blue yonder,
and the forest whispers it's secrets,
and the mountains echo their wisdom,
and the rivers roll with laughter,
and the planet pirouettes in space,
till the stars tip-toe softly round the moon...
Today~
All day~
Just know it's for you.
